Service Description

The Whole Body Essentials builds on the Lower Body Essentials, including all the same lower limb tests, and adds tests for the upper limbs. Tests that are included in the Whole Body Essentials are broken up into two categories: Range of motion and strength. Range of Motion Tests Lower Body: 1) Sitting Hip IR/ER 2) Hip Flexion/Extension 3) Hip Adduction/Abduction 4) Kneeling Knee to Wall (Ankle Dorsiflexion) Upper Body: 5) Standing shoulder abduction and flexion 6) Sitting shoulder ER (@0° abduction) 7) Sitting shoulder IR/ER (@90° flexion) 8) Sitting shoulder IR/ER (@90° abduction) Strength Tests Lower Body: 9) Squat Analysis 10) Counter Movement Jump (CMJ) 11) Squat Jump (SJ) 12) Drop Jump (DJ) 13) 10/5 Repetitive Jumps Test (RJ) 14) Isometric Mid-Thigh Pull (IMTP) Strength Tests Upper Body: 15) Shoulder IR/ER (@0° and 90° flexion) 16) Shoulder IR/ER (@0° and 90° abduction) 17) Athletic Shoulder Test (ASH test) – I’s, Y’s, T’s 18) Push-up analysis 19) Grip Strength Key Outcomes: 1) Hip and shoulder functional range of motion 2) Deficits in peak force and rate of force development in overhead position. 2) Center of pressure and weight distribution during eccentric and concentric phases of a squat. 3) Jump height and power output during CMJ. 4) Dynamic strength index, the ratio between peak force during CMJ and IMTP, which reveals an ability to utilize max force capacity efficiently during dynamic movements. Add-ons: 1) Force plates - Single leg (SL) variations (Rear foot elevated squat, SL box squat, SL CMJ, SL SJ, SL DJ) 2) Timing gates - Speed (10m sprint) - Agility (5-10-5, 505, T-test) 3) Surface Electromyography - Knee protocol (Quadriceps/Hamstring ratio), - Squat analysis (Quadriceps) - Shoulder (Deltoid).
